Default Advice, 4 corner drag radial (Opinions)

I have a bottle fed 02 ws6 and threw a set of staggered tires on when I got it as I had them lying around and figured why not...well now I need a new set of tires and am thinking about drag radials.

I was considering a 275/40/zr17 drag radial on all four corners, hell i'd even be able to rotate them!(front to back)

Bottom line
I want a nice balance of cornering and track(see drag) use as I do both in a 275/40/zr17 and am not sure if that exists in a drag radial format or if I should just go for a "ultra high performance" summer tire from tirerack or a sponsored vendor.

TIA

I'm not sure a drag radial with a soft sidewall is a good idea for a front tire, might not handle turning loads very well. I'd go with the street tire up front and a drag radial out back. JMO though.

A nitto drag radial up front is perfect and handles twist's quite well. I've done it for 9 years. I have no experience with other drag radials up front.

Yeah I've heard good things about the nitto's, so you run them on all four corners and party hard then? Bought the car new and been running them since, well that's convincing enough for me.

What kind of nitto?

The RII or the regular R. Truth be told I'll be buying the NT-01 next. Both the RII and the R are so close in materials I doubt you'll notice a difference. The RII is supposed to have a little stiffer sidewall. I can say they both launch the same at a dragstrip; 1.9 is the best I ever got. Some people have gotten as low as 1.6-1.7 with the nittos; if you want better than that you need a different tire. Now the NT-01 is a definite step up in sidewall stiffness but worth it for a high HP car that wants to handle the twisties. I think the nitto is best of both worlds as long as your not looking for 1.3's or anything; get a slick and some extra set of rims for that.

I ran a 2.06 on the stockers, stock rear and everything I was pretty proud of it consider how humid it was(my quarter was only a 13.9 but hell 2.06 60ft im not complaining) a tenth off 60ft times for just tires is pretty bad ***. Thanks for your advice man.
