Guys, Need tips and tricks on how to fix a bent CCW aluminum rim lip?
Well her is the story, I have a CCw CLASSIC wheel that has a bent lip from the bad streets that I drive on. Can you guys tell me/ show me what type of tools or techniques you use to straighten out bent lips? Just in case your wondering why I wont take it to get fixed is that I just had it fix like two weeks ago for $80 big once and I just don't have the cash flow to do it again....so its time to learn.
Thanks guys,
Roger

get a brass rod, ~1"-2" diameter, or some other metal softer than aluminum, put a rag over the bent lip, and hit it with a firm rubber mallet until it straightens out.

bad idea...... plain and simple have a pro do it. go to your local large volume tire shop and ask them where they get there wheels repaired at. I send mine to 2 different companys wheelpros and wheel technologies.... they always do a excellent job and repolish the wheels to a great shine
