Default ? for the guys with DRs

So I purchased a set of BFG 325/50/15s DRs to go on my new Prostars. I have had them on my z for only prolly 100 miles or so and they are already wearing significantly. I have only launched hard on them one time and the rest has been easy driving. there is a fine mist of rubber on the rear of my car (only can notice it b/c my car is white). when looking at the face of the tread it looks like its already starting to come off. This is my first set of DR's and although I realize that DRs have soft tread this seems excessive. what do you guys think. thanks

Is it daily driven? If so, yes. All drag radials will wear out alot quicker than your normal radial tire. They were made for your weekend fun at the track with DOT approved convenience to drive it to and from the track.

i had some bfgs on my car for about 3 weeks of daily driving... roughly a few hundred miles... give or take 400... they were pretty much baled when i took them off.. take them off while you still can. buy some streets..

i didnt either...

i got a friend that has some streets.. hes put a few hundred miles on them.. 10 or so good burnouts at the track, some street burnouts and racing and they hardly look worn at all.. if i did it again thats what i would go with.

Best compromise is Nittos - they last a while but have to be REALLY hot to hook. No true drag radial is gonna last very long at all. I gave in after my first set and bought a set of KDWs... good street tire and don't need heat to grip.

FWIW my 315/35/17 nitto's have lasted me 12,000 miles and still going strong. Not even close to the wear bars yet.

Like said above they're the best compromise

Weird. I've got BFG 315/35/17 drag radials on my car. They've got over 2k miles and a dozen track passes on them and don't look much different than the day they were put on, still a ton of tread left............

Much better than expected. They grip better in the wet than my brand new sumitomo's did
