J.J. Smith who played for K.C. Chiefs had gold anteras on a red 6 cyl, I had them on a white Ta red interior convertible. You told people and they said and when people saw them it was real hot.

I think im just going to redo my speedlines in gold or bronze.. unless i can find those specific C5 wheels somewhere.. they seem to be farely rare.. They arent 50th anniversary wheels. I think they came on some of the FRC vettes. ill post pics when i do it.. wont happen till it cools down a little bit.

Yes, please do what 54,324 other people on here have done. Do not have an original idea of your own.
More power to you man. Try something new.
The subtle bronze and/or gold/bronze anodized can look very slick if you can pull it off without overpowering the color. A blended bronze/gunmetal could be cool too. Anodizing is where its at for the colors, much more gentle to look at then powdercoat.

I'd rather have durable than "gentle", whatever that means
Anodized finishes can be removed with a cheap oven cleaner or as light as a 400 grit sandpaper, not exactly wheel quality finish in my opinion..

Gold wheels will look nice on a red car, but two things come to mind:
1. It has to be the RIGHT wheel. A nice quality wheel will look sharp. A gold painted cheap-o wheel will look.....cheap.
2. Stick with a mild version of the gold color, not the rich in-your-face bright metallic gold. Think subtle. Polished lips would look good. To me, gold anodized looks like crap.
