Default Upgrading Monsoon Speakers

Ok so the back speakers (next to seats) on my Monsoon Equipped TA were shot... SO I got some Alpine Type S, 4 ohm Speakers to install. Now being that the Monsoon speakers were DVC with 4 0hm coils, I just used 1 of the sets of wires off the speaker to hook em up. They work and play fine, however they are only midrange, which Im assuming is right they were just used for filler of midrange sound, being that the other locations have component tweeters. Now I think I cooked the fronts also, Are the fronts DVC too?? also being that there were 2 sets of wires going into the speakers Im assuming they were hooked up in parallel, not series, from the monsoon ampo... correct??? So basically, my final question would be, am I actually getting a 4 ohm load from that 1 set of wires... or is it only 2 ohm.

Thanks!
