Default Sound Deadener

I'm thinking of doing this as a winter project. I am going to go with either Second Skin Damplifier, Damplifier Pro or Dynamat Extreme

What is the difference between going with Second Skin's liquid Spectrum vs the material stuff like Damplifier, Damplifier Pro, and Dynamat Extreme? If I went spray on, how much would I need for the whole car?

I assume Dynamat Extreme is fairly equal to Damplifier? (I don't want to start any wars, just opinions please)

How superior is Damplifier Pro to Dynamax Extreme and Damplifier?

Cost wise, Damplifier (120ft) and Dynamax Extreme (108ft) are roughly the same ($4 more shipped for Damplifier), is ~100ft enough to cover the entire interior of the car?

Thanks

I would recommend Rammat. I used 125 sq/ft of Rammat, 6 yd of Ensolite, and 2 cans of glue for my build; install here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...uild+stainless

Rick from Raamaudio is great to work with and knows what he's talking about. I did a lot of research before and Rammat seemed like the highest quality for the price...

If price weren't an issue, would you still choose Rammat?

I must be missing something, but Raamat seems to be the most expensive???

I'm looking at something called eDead right now. Did you do any research on that?

I did some research and found a lot of good comments on eDead. 100sq ft of eDead is $194 shipped. However, I found a coupon code for 50% off making 100sqft for $114 shipped. I don't really want to sacrifice quality for price, but I can't find any negativity on eDead

Does anyone know how Raammat + Ensolite compares to Dynamat Extreme and Second Skin Damplifier?

Excellent read. Thank you very much for that link.

However, this price is extremely tough to beat.

By the way, I think it is worth noting that you can get Dynamat Extreme on Ebay for $110-$120 shipped. Ebay runs a live.com coupon sort of thing that takes 25% off the price of the item which I found for $91 which knocks off $22.75 per 36ft order

eDead doesn't get great reviews on car audio forums thats why I'll probably use RaaMAT, bang for the buck.

I've used eDead and I'd have to say DO NOT USE on vertical areas! All the horizontal areas it worked out great, but when i put it at more than a 60 degree angle it curled a little. I plan to use something a little more sticky to finish up the trunk and roof.

I used edead because it was impossibly CHEAP!
I found it to make a huge improvement around the door areas.

I had my door panel off somewhat recently (it had been probably 6months).. and it was still fine.

I've used both versions and the newer one does hold much better. It's all been on the car for about 2.5-3 years. The stuff under the plastic on the hatch is probably my worst area.

Something funny about the 'old' material. In the trunk I guess it got way too hot or something and it melted and oozed all over my spare tire area.

What do you guys think about Dynamat Extreme with Ensolite on top of it?

I can get 126ft Dynamat Extreme for $315 if I do this project with my buddy.

You could get 125ft^2 of RaaMAT and Ensolite for less than that....well after doing some more research, 125ft of RaaMAT, 6 yards of Ensolite, and 2 cans of adhesive would be about $355 shipped to NJ.
