Doesn anyone know how to hard wire a V1 Radar?

Doesn anyone know how to hard wire a V1 Radar? I remeber seeing pics a while ago, i am looking into wiring it into my car and i need to know which wires to tap into and fuses. And also how to run the wires

hey all let me say this site rocks anywayz the radar detector thing check it i hard wired mine in to my radio wire so like it keeps its memory of course and shuts off with the car and like stays on when you turn the car off just like the radio does till u open the door i thought it was a good idea and plus easy to get to the wire at the fuse block on my blackbird but anyways holler at yall latr and by the way im a ex-snake owner and im happy 2 say im back where i use to be in with the big boyz on the gm side latr...............kurt

Easy. You'll need to have 2 wire leads instead of a cigarette 12V adapter at the end. If you don't have a "straight wire" like that, you'll have to "do or die" and cut the adapter off and strip the wires a bit so the metal is showing on each.
Note: Do these steps with your key out of the ignition and everything off.
1. Open the driver's side door and remove the velcroed panel that holds the fuses.
2. Remove a fuse. I recommend the top right-hand one: Radio Accy
3. Take the positive (probably more copperish) wire of the radar detector and bend it on either fuse tooth.
Note: There is an art to this. It must only go over the bottom part of the tooth, NOT the sides.
4. Carefully replace the fuse such that the wire is smooshed into the socket too.
5. Locate the ground wire on the fusebox. There should be some sort of bolt or screw holding in a black wire. Remove the bolt and wire.
6. Take the negative ground wire (non-coppery) of the radar detector and bend it such that it will hook onto the free screw.
7. Replace the negative ground wire and bolt as tight as it was before.
That's it! Turn on the car and try the unit. If it doesn't work, check how you smooshed the wire into the fuse. Remember, it needs to be bent around the fuse tooth, not touching the sides, and jammed into the hole (via fuse) neatly straight-in.
