? About Replacing Silverado/Sierra Front Door Speakers....
Any of you guys that have replaced your front door speakers let me know what you did to mount them without having an air gap around the speakers due to GM's new speaker with bracket design. More proof that the frickin' engineers aren't concerned with good sounding music! I replaced my speakers a while back with JL 6 1/2" components and just screwed the speakers to the door panel and left the air gaps and went on..since I was in a hurry. Now I have some time to correct this and was wondering what y'all have done to get a good seal on your door speakers...aside form installing 6 3/4" speakers? I was thinking of making some kind of pod out of 'glass...but I'm not real good with it and hate to spend way too much time and money on something this insignificant. If anyone can hook me up, I'd appreciate the info!
Thanks!
