Default Help me run my 3.5 mm device direct to my monsoon system

Hi guys. I'm trying to eliminate my head unit and wire my laptop sound directly to my monsoon amp via the 3.5 mm port. You could substitute an ipod inplace of the laptop or a tape adapter, whatever. I'm just trying to find a device that will perform the amplification functions that the stock deck does at the moment.

I'm assuming I'll have laptop > device unknown > speaker wires > monsoon amp > speakers

Wow. I couldn't find anything that had low level inputs and speaker level outputs. This is great!

JL Audio amps you can just hook your low level inputs up to speaker wires and they will work. Why not just get a headunit that has a input for a thumb drive?

I have a 7" touchscreen in my dash. This will just remove the head unit for me which is currently taking up a bunch of space I could be making much better use of.

oh i got ya. How about a car pc? I dont have any experience with them, but I have read a few threads on another forum about them. There is also a company that makes all kind of adapters and suck for cars. I think the name of the company is PAC. I dont think any sponsors sell anything like this so I dont think im braking the rules.

The 7" touchscreen is attached to a laptop. I'm currently using a pac adapter to route my music from the pc through the head unit. I'm just trying to cut out the middleman (head unit). You can check out what I did here. The pics are a little bit old. I've cleaned a few things up since most of these pics were taken.
