MTX thunder Well guys and gals, i was doing some searching on ws6store.com and came accross this

I thought i would post up in here and see if any of you had any experience with this product. I have been wanting to put a sub in my camaro but didnt want to sacrifice my trunk space. I think this would a great fix to that problem. Any opinions would be greatley appreciated.

cool. the reason i was wondering about this one is because if fits in the storage compartment on the drivers side. I was curious about fitment, sound, and overall construction.
I have one, ordered it from WS6store as well. Absolutely love it. It fits perfectly in that little compartment, only issue is that it overheats if you run it too hard in warm climates. I.E. if you have it at about full bass level on the sub and play anything with fast bass in California summers for more than 30 minutes... you will hear an annoying tone during breaks in the music (or even if you turn the volume all the way down) signaling that it is near overheating, then it will shut itself off on you while it cools. However, at night time... you can run it pretty much as hard as you want for as long as you want. Havnt had any issues with that unless the temps are above 80-90 though.
But I assume that is involved in any sub/amp in a tight space. Just a fair warning though. Otherwise it is amazing for the price. Simple, compact, great sound, and best of all... no one knows it is there unless you want them to know

install... The wiring was the hardest part, had to drill through the firewall for power, then running the wires wasnt too bad, there are decent instructions explaining it, and it comes with everything you need for a "basic" install. Other than that, you can get away with just sliding it into place, but there is an optional mounting bracket if you want it really secure

yeah, im for sure going to get this. I have been wanting a little thump, but didnt want to sacrifice truck space. Next question is, what door speakers would you go with. Im also going to be using the alpine CDA-9884 H/U.
If you want something decent, you will probably want some speakers that are amplified. Personally I went for some Alpine type Rs for the doors/sails, and a PDX 4.100 amplifier. It cost me 550 for 4 speakers and the amp, totally worth it.
