Default Power window problem

I just replaced the passenger side window motor. The motor will only raise the window, not lower it. I pulled it back apart, and it does the same thing freewheeling?

I used my meter on both sides of the plug that attaches to the motor and both show 11mv when the up and down are pushed?

I plugged the motor back in, used a test light and again, Power with Up and Down, yet the motor only turns in the up position? The regulator is not in a bind either.

And yes, I returned the first motor (thinking it was bad) and the second does the same thing?

Also, doesn’t matter if you use the driver’s side switch or pass side...

Isn't there a relay or a control module that handles lowering the window due to the "express down" feature? Maybe it failed? Sorry I can't be more helpful, I havent seen inside my door.

Humm, Interesting thanks. But the part that throws me is both the up and down pin have power...

Well I now know the motor is good.

Again, the plug has power on both pins, and neither switch will make it go down, just up.

I need help

Shouldn't down be reverse polarity compared to up? What I mean is that up is (+ -) and down is (- +) I'm not sure, just guessing. It would be nice if someone that has actaully worked on their windows would chime in here.

Ya, you'd think on a Computer Car board someone would know Windows...
