need some help I have a 1200 watt sony amp and 2 class D 1200 sony subs.Ive had them for about a year or so now.I just cant get them to hit hard or sound like they should.Anyone know how I could adjust the settings I have sat and tested and tuned and just cant get them to sound good.Any help would be very nice thanks Ronnie

Re: need some help Well there are a bunch of factors. Is the box the correct design for the subs? Is the box built correctly? Does the amp have the proper wire gauge for both positive and negative? Are the subs wired in a way to achive the most power output from the amp? Is the crossover set correctly?
There are to many unanswered questions to help you with this. If you can answer these then it would be alot easier to help you out.

Re: need some help Also, what are the exact subs and amp? Sony has a habit of putting MAX power on the case to make it look big and bad, but the RMS power is much less. (Just a note to you, I think your amp might be a Class D, but I doubt your subs are. 
)

Re: need some help Its a class D sony 1200 watt amp and the 2 subs are class D 12 inch subs.everything is wired tight and as said in direction.The sub box is the one from sub thump that goes in the top area.as far as cross over and stuff I got no idea what your talking about using stock monsoon head unit

1. You need to find out what ohm load your subs are, are they single 4 ohm, dual 4 ohm, or something else, it should say on the boxes for them if you still have them, or on the back of the magnet.
2. You said your amp does 1200 watts but at what ohm load, again this is something that the box or instruction manual should tell you.
3. What is your source unit? Factory CD player or aftermarket and if a aftermarket which brand and model?
4. What gauge power wire are you running?
Also just so you know regardless what the subs say there is no such thing as a "Class D" sub , "Class D" is a form of power supply used in car sub amps. Be glad to help ya just need more info.
