Hey there guys. right now i have a 2 channel amp running 2 subs. i sold my 2 subs and am going to go with 1 sub. can i still use this amp and will it put out twice as much power now to just one sub. by the way i have the california profile AP1200

No, you want a DVC 2ohm sub, not a DVC 4ohm sub.

Nope, that sub is a 4 ohm DUAL voice coil, if your going with a single sub, you need a 4 ohm SINGLE voice coil or a 2 ohm dual voice coil sub. That way you can bridge your amp to it's required 4 ohm load.

why a 2ohm? i am not very audio inclined. so will my amp work just fine with it? or do i need to find a 2ohm dual voixe one as well?

If you have a 2 Ohm dual voice coil sub you can run it down into 4 Ohms.

So you will be using the most of your amp. Or just get a single 4 Ohm voice coil sub.

yea i want the dual voice coil sub. so your saying look at the dual 2 ohm. ok now how will i wire it into that amp. put the + and the - where one of the 2 go now or do i just use the center plug ins?
