Default 3 subs??

i have two 1200 watt subs and a 1000 watt amp powering thm in my car with a custom box built to fit in the rear of my firebird. My brother is giving me another sub and amp but i dont how it would look and sound? is the two i have enuf or would the 3 look and sound better with a custom box built? another question is would it sound better to have just two speakers powered seperatley by the two amps?

you almost have to answer your own questions.
Is 2 subs enough, we don't know that because it is all personal preference, for me 1 10" sub is enough, for some people 5 subs with tvs in the head rests isn't enough. What is the wattage of the new amplifier that you have. If the subs can take more power, give them more power, maybe give each sub isn't own amp.

IMO, unless your going to double the amount of subs you have don't bother, because the output difference will be minimal, also you'll have less air space for your subs.

IMO, Go with 2 subs with 1 amp per sub, and if that's not loud enough go with a ported box!
