When the car is off? Run it all you want when the car is on...doesn't affect battery then. I have the same switch....I rarely use it, but nice to have. I at least like seeing the LEDs so I know if hi/lo fans are on (lo fan is almost always on thanks to thermo and fan settings...I might change this for next winter though..)

thanks for the responses, and ya i was wondering how long when the car is off. Im gonna go to the track next week and test it out but it would suck if the battery went out in the middle of the staging lanes LOL

I figured you meant when off. Would depend on your battery.. If you have a deep cycle battery I would run the fan as needed and just keep a portable batt charger handy just in case. If you're waiting a long period of time, cycle the fan on/off.

I mean I don't see why you think you need to manually turn the fan on at all? Your mods don't look to me like they should be making your engine run too hot.

I've got the SLP manual fan switch. I've forgetten and left the thing on and it will COMPLETELY kill the battery after about 10 mins. if you leave it on high. You might make it to 15 mins. on the low setting. I installed LED's to come on to remind me I have it on, and haven't forgotten since.

I know this is a couple of years old now... But, did you ever figure out how long you could run them in the staging lane with out draining your batter? I am going to be doing the same thing tonight.
