cheaper alternative to sound deadener?
I thought I remember someone on this board going to Home Depot or Lowes and getting some kind of insulation to use a sound deadener, and it was considerably cheaper than the name brand stuff. I believe his user name was JSears8 or something like that.
Anyone know what I am talking about?
Thanks,
Brian

Try ice and water barrier. That's the stuff they put on roofs. It's pretty much the same as the name brand stuff. It's sticky on the back and it molds to shapes well. I've used it before with great results, and it's cheaper. Just make sure you get the one without the sand on the top.

It was Frost King duct insulation.
