Default Sail panels speakers!!!

It seems that the sail panels speakers are not getting a lot of power in my 2000 camaro SS with Monsoon. All other speakers work fine! Amp problem? how can I check what is wrong with it?

Stock sail speakers are junk. They often go out. Kee audio and infinity make nice replacements. Make sure u get 2ohm replacements for the sails

Do you think is just the speakers? I have a pair of Pioneer Ts-G1641R 6.5-Inch 2-Way Speakers that I took off from my old car, can i use them? or do i need a different kind? i'm really new to all this so i have no idea what to do. i still think there is something wrong with the factory amp. you can feel the speakers vibrate but not a lot of sound coming out from them!!!

My sails went out a couple of years ago. I read up that the factory sails are junk and don't last very long. I'm pretty sure its your sails that are shot, not the amp. No, those speakers would not sound right. The speakers need to be a 2ohm midbass type speaker to put out the bass your looking for. Get in touch with Ian at kee audio. He carries great stuff specifically for your application. You can get more responses and get in touch with Ian in the stereo and electronics forum

You don't hear much because there is no tweeter there, they are only for "Bass", sort of. I got 2 ohm Infinity's that I ran there, but they sucked, they were the 2 way ones, not the mid-bass subs it needed.

Yeah, those are junk. I tried contacting Kee Audio by Pm but he never answered back. Anybody had similar experiences?

2-ways, even though rated 2ohm, will not sound right. Has to be a midbass driver, 1-way, to sound right
