Default Component setup

Thinking of going with a component setup in my trans am and wanted some opinions. Obviously I will have components up front but, was thinking about running a second set with the mid and tweeter mounted in the hatch area and the 6 1/2 woofer in the sail panel. Any problems with doing this? The 2 sets would be powered by a 4 channel amp, and plan to have 2- 10 inch subs in the back. Any brands to stay away from?

for a higher end alpine setup i would do the following:

2 sets of spr-17s components (147 per set) 294
1 pdx4.150 439
1 pdx1000 499
2 type r 10's (115 each) 230

This puts you at 1462
add your box, any where from 100 - 300
wires 225-275

puts you at a max of under 2200

POLK MM6501 x2 $199
Alpine PDX-4.100 $349
JL 13W7 $549
JL Slash 1000/1 v2 $659

Grand total of $1959

Guarantee Polk will be better sq, guarantee JL W7 will be better sq as well as spl. All around great system for under 2g. Build your own box according to JL specs, ported of course. Whole system will sound SICK! Can't go wrong with this setup.

I have never had Alpine, but have heard some good things about them. I have used Eclipse, Kenwood, and Pioneer. This will also be my first time using component speakers.
