Default 5 Channel Amp

I was going with a 4 channel, but I think a 5 channel will work out a lot better. I need one that going to run all speakers and one 12 Kenwood (KFC-W3009) 800 watt 4ohm speaker.

Thanks

I've got a Soundstream Van Gogh 800W 5-channel amp for sale if you're looking for used. I think it's 75x4 and 400x1. These were very powerful amps for their ratings.

Otherwise, Kicker makes a ZX700.5, but most of the Kicker's seem kind of weak for their ratings. I'm a dealer for Wet Sounds, and they've got a 1000W 6-channel in the lineup. Kinda pricey though.

I had a 4 channel Kenwood 640 watt. That I sold because it just didn't have the power needed. So something with a little more power than what I had.

Kenwood's are very weak.... I pulled 3 of them out of my boat that came in it stock. The "1500 watt" amp that was replaced by the 1000w amp was no comparison.

That Rockford is probably a pretty good amp, but the other 2, not so much. The Rubicon series, and the KX series are both entry-level amps. Probably a good deal for that price range, but remember, you get what you pay for.

I like that kicker amp personally; but i would say either the kicker or rockford. Just be sure that you see the kicker is a refurb, the rf may be too because thats not even a current model. Look into these 5-channels also:
Infinity Reference 5350A
JBL GTO5355
Infinity KAPPA FIVE
Cadence FXA-5100
Polk Audio PA 1100.5
Alpine PDX-5
Memphis 16-MC5.1400
Memphis 16-MC5.700

I have the PDX-5 from Alpine. Great amp. Very small if you want to hide it. However it only puts out 300 Watts RMS to the sub. You may want a bit more for that 400 watt RMS Kenwood.

I have a monster Clif Design 5-channel amp that is about 2 feet long. It is 100W RMS x 4 @ 4ohms, 200W RMS X 4 @ 2ohms and the sub channel is 520W RMS @ 2ohms. I have 2 but I am keeping one for myself for my next project. Very underated amp, should push way more then advertised.
I also have several other 5-channel amps from Cadence, Powerbass, Boss (yea I know), Infinity, JBL, MTX, Blaupunkt, Crossfire, and Soundstream. I just picked up alot of these brands from a new distributor and would have to check availability but there are plenty of good 5-channel amps. Let me know if I can help and what kind of budget your looking at!!

it will be kinda hard to find a 5 channel amp that will push 400wrms at 4 ohms. i might consider a different sub, either a dual 4 or 2 ohm depending on the amp you like. Or you might need to get a separate sub amp. 4 chan speaker amps are a dime a dozen and maybe a audiobahn a8000t or a8000v would be cheap power for the sub.

Memphis Belle i always though was the best 5ch amp as long as you get the class D one because the Sub channel is 1 ohm stable!!! good ****! other than that i like the rockford "T" series amps they have a 5 channel out there also...going cheep on amps = no power

a watt is a watt doesnt matter how much it costs. usually multi channel amps are class A/B because they are a smaller design. a multi chan amp is just a bunch of smaller amps under one cover and class A/B amps are much smaller is why they use them.
