Pyle is the shortened form of the original name "Pyle of S#!t" LOL... You can get a set of Kicker Comp 12"s or CVR 12"s for a good price and they sound good - IMO

Those are pretty low end subs, too, Gary, though they're still a lot better than Pyle.

I've got the CDT EF-100 subs on sale right now for $89.00 shipped. Very tight sounding subwoofer that will outperform a CVR. About the same as a JL W3 but with better sound quality overall.
