Default Headlight Problem

Ok not sure what's wrong but I have a 2002 ram air T/A when I turn the headlights off the driverside headlight motor keeps running for about 5 second. When I lock and close the doors the headlights come up then go down and the motor runs for about 5 seconds. If I try to run just the foglights the headlights pop up but are not on. Using the remote to unlock or lock the doors I get the same thing. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it.

headlight gear is done for, either take gear out and sping it 180 degrees and rock the other half of it, or get the brass ones (my recommendation)

There is also a hardened aluminum now since the price of copper went up. My brass gear actually stripped just like the plastic ones did about a couple of months ago so now i drive around with the headlights up until i figure out a different way to fix the problem.

Just posted what I did to fix it for good. Haven't had a problem since. I also stripped out the brass gears. Here's what I did:
