alpine pdx-1.600

does anyone have any experience with this amp? ive been wishy washy with what subs im getting but im almost certain that i'm getting two 12" boston acoustic g2124's. would this amp go well with these subs or should i get something else? i was looking at JL Audio G Series G1700 amp but its rated at 700watts rms at 2 ohms. would the extra 50 watts be bad for the subs or could they take it?

its better to have an amp w too much power and turn it down then go with somethign too small. The pdx amp is a nice amp. We sell the hell out of the because of their small sizes.

i really like my 4.100 1.600 combo. great amps. never had 1 problem in over a year

The PDX amps are VERY nice amps. My pdx4.150 with crossfire X6 components together was the cleanest sounding setup I've ever personally heard. (Next to Todd Zier's Ranger, which is the #2 USACI SQ vehicle in the world.) The 1.600 will not dissapoint you.

Not sure for that particular amp but I have a PDX1.1000 and I love it.....these amps are so small and pack quite a bit of punch. They are expensive but I would highly recommend them after having mine for about a year without any problems.
