can the tape deck play the cassette adapter?

Default can the tape deck play the cassette adapter?

i bought two cassette adapter (tape w/ wire to plug into mp3 player)and neither one works. Im getting a code E11 or E13 i cant remember which but damn it keeps popping the tape back out with the code. Are there any solutions to why I cant use it?

yep, i had a sony one from probably 10-11 years ago lying around and since i haven't gotten around to installing my alpine cd player yet, i use it with my ipod, no issues at all.

btw, just noticed your avatar.. GO CARDS! hehe.

Maybe the tape head is dirty or just not making proper contact. Have you tried cleaning the tape head in the headunit?

no i havent tried that yet. How can i do that?

There are two ways to do it.
Easy Way: buy a tape player cleaner (although harder to find nowadays)
Hard Way: Open the headunit and clean the tape head with alcohol and a cotton swab

ha i rather do it the easy way!!! it started working for about 20 minutes then e11 came up again so maybe i'll just find that tape cleaner you was talking about.
