Post pics of your HU install
with humount

lit up, doesn't look like much during daytime but looks pretty good with other interior lights on a TA

Pretty decent HU for me. I don't own an iPod or any MP3 players, so the fact that I can make a data CD full of songs is good by me. Sounds pretty good and matches, so I'm happy. Also, the HUmount is great! Love it and was really easy install.

For example, suppose I am on preset 1 and want to go to preset 6. If I didn't have my steering wheel controls, I would have to take my eyes off the road (just for a second, but still don't like it), push the preset button on the Alpine, turn the wheel to scroll down to preset 6, and push enter. With my steering wheel, I just push "preset" and it cycles through them. Makes scanning through presets quick and easy.
Also, the Alpine does not have a "mute" function except through the wired or IR remotes. So I have to use the SWI-JACK with my steering wheel controls to get to the mute function on the HU. Again, shame on Alpine for not putting that feature on the front panel.

It's got a very nice colorful bouncing EQ on the face as well, but since this was a test fit, I didn't have it on...

That's what it looks like if ppl don't know their part number. Lol.
I also don't care for the lack of a good EQ/sound processing feature in the unit. It only has a 2-band parametric EQ. It works, but again it's certainly not ideal. You have to get the PXA-H100 Imprint sound processor to enable those features which costs $$$.
FYI, Alpine also makes a 6-disk CD changer that can run from the Ai-Net bus on the IDA-XXX series units.

HUmount. You can find all you need there.
