What all would be required besides making enough room? I could use the stock harness and amp correct?

Ya you can use the stock amp. The only thing is the original 6.5 subs are 2 voice coils. That part would be the only hard part. What I did was actually cut some plates of sheet metal and welded them inside on my car. I still had to cut the original 6.5 opening to fit the 8" and I gained about a half inch clearance over what the OP of this thread did.

Ya that is the hardest part. Mine are amped and I don't remember how exactly I wired them. I don't remember if I used the sub outs on the deck or just used the monsoon amp signal to my amp. Been a while since I did it but I do know the amp will accept preamp signals. Probably just did it the most backaswards WTF way possible. Usually how my wiring ends up.
