Originally, there were two different BCM part numbers - one with the optional alarm system and one without. They have been superseded to a single part number (with alarm) for all 98-02 F-bodies.
Other questions come to mind. Why do you think you need to replace your BCM? What is going wrong with the current one?
You can't reprogram a used BCM to match your ignition key so you will have to do a VATS bypass if you install a used BCM.
