Default remote start help?

Hey guys, i just got back to my house with my girlfriend in the trailblazer. She got out and was playing with the key fob and hit a button and the truck started up????? I didn't know it had the factory remote start system on it and now we cant figure out how to get it to work? Can anyone help? Also, there isn't a "start button" all there is, is unlock, lock and panic. thanks

A lot of times it's either hold a button down or hit a button twice.

Default remote start

you have to hit the lock button (x4) then it will start. to leave it running when you pull the key out of the ignition you have to while it is started push lock and unlock at the same time then turn to off position and remove the key. hope this works for you.

Hit the lock button momentarily once, then within 3 seconds start holding the button with the curved circle for another 3 seconds.

Check your options sticker for code AP8 (I think it's in your glovebox). That's the remote start option. GM didn't make any TrailBlazers with remote start but 3-button remotes. The remote start option requires a key fob with the start button.

It is possible that your girlfriend was actually squeezing the remote's housing. I've heard that the start button is on the circuit board of the three button remotes - it just doesn't have the external button for it.

It's also possible that she's yankin' your chain and watching you go crazy trying to figure out how to make the remote start work.
