Question bought sony HU, need help!

i bought the Sony CDX-GT640UI HU and it works great! only problem that i hate is when you shut off the car, it beeps 3 times thru the speakers..

i looked it up in the manual and it said its a warning to take off the faceplate of the stereo if you have it wired using the internal amplifier.. (which in our cars it is)

and yes i turned off the beeping option in the settings but it didnt turn off this different beeping...

HOW DO I TURN THE BEEPING OFF PERMANANTLY..?

Don't know how to help, but I remember I hated that when I had my old (like 15 years ago) Sony HU in my previous car. Hope you findout how to disable it.

Mine does the same thing, but it really doesn't bother me too much because when I turn off the car and open the door I am leaving so the beep does not bother me. Also some places that I go I want to remove the face plate, this way someone else does not do it for me. Just a thought, it's an added feature from the big name company with all the money to buy there way thru. Or so some people might think.

There's no way to turn it off...it's a reminder to remove the faceplate and doing so is the only way to get it to stop. My wife had the same complaint about her Sony HU.

I guess if use the RCA outs to an aftermarket amp (and not use the internal amp), that might stop it, but I haven't tried that yet...

You can't turn it off.

And by when they say "using the internal amplifier", they're referring to the amp in the HU, not the Monsoon.

If you use an external amp with RCAs, it will not beep.
