Question about Infinity Speakers

Question about Infinity Speakers I can get a great price on some 2 way 2 ohm 6.5" reference speakers for the SS.
Thing is the tweeter is connected to the woofer and not wired separately .
I understand they should be for original wire hook up. Can I simply unsolder the tweeter wire and solder my factory wire to it and do the same for the woofer.
I will be installing a Clarion ( VX 409 ) 6.5 in dbl din HU. I will be keeping the cars original monsoon amp in place for now.

Yes, you can separate the woofer and tweeter of many coaxial speakers and them wire them to the respective component channel wiring from the factory amp. It can be delicate work to get to the small tweeter wires where they connect to the speaker's terminals and cut or disconnect them in a way that leaves enough wire available to make the connection. Small hands and fine tools are a real help with that.
