Default My install of a 6.5" Clarion VX 409

Went fairly well, most time consuming was the cutting of the radio bezel.
Heres some pic's, I think it looks good.
This maybe good for newbees also.
Below is the speaker wire connection and CD changer connector.

Stop button for stock radio, had to be removed

Some connector box, had to be relocated and zipped tied

Zipped away

Button removed

Test fit

Test fit with bezel in place

VX 409 partially open

Fully open

Really good. The bezel needs some more work to make it look flush and uniform color.
How's the visibility while driving in daytime with the top down?

can I ask, what made you go with a double din mounted semi-fixed screen, .. vs. a fold/flip-out single DIN ?

First off the price was real good, 299.00 cdn, secondly always wanted a large screen for movies, the singles for movies don't cut it for me.
Now time for some Alpine components up front and god knows for the rears, convertible ya know.

Not sure on the bezel, for this HU unit not much cutting was needed.
