Default Stock Monsoon turns off by itself when it does windows dont work

My stock radio has a connection problem im guessing it will turn on and off at random. a smack of the dash makes it come back on, when it turns off the windows will not go up or down but the cd eject works ...smack the dash it works lol... what wire would make the windows stop working along with the radio...this is on a 2001 T/A.

It's not a loose wire, it's your body control module or BCM. This has been discussed several times and I even posted a diagram on one thread of the board and which solder points are of concern to fix it.
Do a search and it should pop up several times. It was fairly recently that I posted the pic so that can help narrow it down some.

I think it's more likely a simple ground issue. Remove the plastic to the left of the clutch (the dead pedal area plastic) and there will be a ground bolt that probably came loose. Tighten it up and you should be good to go assuming that is the problem.

I'm 99.9% sure its the BCM, as Kee said. I had the same problem and i resoldered the points shown and never had another issue.

Especially since almost everything in the dash shares that same ground - more than just the radio and windows would fail if the ground was the problem (DRLs, mirrors, locks, HVAC fan, T/S indicators, courtesy lights, etc.).
