Music junkie - Sub/speaker selection
My concept so far is a bit complex, but imma have fun doing it. Was driving around my v6 when i came to a realization (knew it but it never dawned on me), 10" subs can kick harder and stay crisp on the higher bass 80 - 250 Hz and sucks on the <80 Hz, But when i was driving around my drunken friends in his car, which has 12"s it can kick crisp and hard on the low bass but gets fluffy up top.. So what are the pro's and cons of mixing both 12"s and 10"s in a build? Provided that i can shove only 3 of any mix in the back while keeping t-top storage, what would be a good mix?
My current thoughts are, 1 12" and 2 10"s, put a low pass on the 12" at 100Hz, for the 10"s, put a highpass at 80Hz and let the amp limit them with a low pass at 250Hz... Figure to let the midbass speakers do the rest from 200Hz and up..
Ideas? suggestions?
*edit* where can i get one of these bezels

The idea itself sounds intriguing though.

By building off of my 10"s in my v6, measured it out and can put 3 12's width wise, and got a lovely sponsor on here that said he can make a box for 3 12" l5 solobarics to fit in, on that same location. but before i put the order in, wanna be sure on the sound beforehand.
I never been a fan of ported boxes, they sound too fluffy to me...
