Default Big 3 Need help

Okay I know this shouldnt be this confusing but I am getting ready to put a higher output alternator on my car tommorrow and want to do the big three along with it but there are two wires connected to the negative terminal and like three connected to the positive terminal, two red and a black. Do I just cut everything off and stick ring terminals on everything or what. Just not sure what to do with all of the extra stuff that isnt part of the big three. Pics would be extremely helpful since the sticky doesnt have them anymore. thanks in advance

most people just add the new "big 3" wire in addition to the stock wires. Keeping everything connected as stock just add the battery - to chassis, battery + to alternator, and chassis gnd to engine gnd wires. The only stock wire I might remove when I do the big three in the new few weeks is the chassis gnd to engine gnd because its an ugly thin braided wire.

I saved alot of time of trouble and just bought this premade kit. I removed all the old power and ground wires when I did the install. The small body mount and and engine grounds I left stock except the braided ground for the alternator. I put a 4g wire in place of it

Yeah, 0 gauge might be tough for that location with the stock wire. I'll be using 4 gauge and hopefully won't have a problem.

Those wires are expensive. I think you could save $50 by doing that yourself, it doesnt take a lot of time to cut wire to length then solder on the ends and adding on shrink wrap. I take pride in my own work so I would rather do it myself anyways.

I thought the kit was perfect. Everything was cut to length and ready to install. The extra money I spent on a pre-made wire set was worth it.

about 42 for 12ft of 1/0 welding wire. 5 bucks or so for ring terminals and heat shrink and I already have crimpers. So about 50

I bought my Big 3 cable here as stated in this post made the job easy:

All I had to to is connect and run the cables.
