Default another stupid questoin about the R-A-D-I-O

When replacing the source unit, am I correct in assuming that the aftermarket wiring harness for the car allows continual use of the monsoon amp? And am I also correct in remembering that the new aftermarket head unit need to have powered output because the separate wiring for the tweeters does not run off the external amplifier?

Just wire it like any other stereo. Luckily the new deck will turn on the amplifier. Its the speaker swap thats the problem.

I'll try taht...here's the really odd thing..

Tracks 1 -5 or so..it plays frind.. doesn't start this until like track 6 or 7 and does this on every track after...It doesn't matter whether or not you manually scan to that track or you let it play through to that high of a track

Well, to me it sounds like the unit itself, since those tracks are on the outer part of the cd, seems like the laser is having problems moving to that area. try cleaning it? there are kits at bestbuy to clean cd players.
