Default fixed TA's keyfobs

so my keyfobs have been working like crap since i bought the car and i made up my mind that i was going to try and fix them before buying new. it worked great! here is what i did:

1) took keyfobs apart
2) cleaned all the contacts with a qtip and rubbing alcohol
3) cut up small square bits of tinfoil a little bigger than the black pads ont he keyfobs
4) took a paperclip with a dap of superglue on the end and rubbed the superglue on the black contact pads on the keyfob
5) stuck the tinfoil squares to the black pads and let dry
6) put keyfob back together (of course making sure glue had time to set)
7) done, test and have a beer

not sure how many of you suffer from this or have already fixed yours by doing this but thought i'd post anyway.... i don't have a clue how long the glue will hold for but i don't see why it wouldn't last. but hey, if it lasts a season it was well worth it.. i will just do it again to save $70+ for a new one.

enjoy!

Do I see a write up coming?
Picks for the steps? lol.. pretty simple anyway, I'll try tomorrow.
How exactly does this fix the issue?
