Default For those of you with stealth boxes

just wondering if you are happy with them? I am looking into getting one for driver and passenger side for my 10" Infinities and wondering also how they sound not being able to reflect off of the back hatch glass.... do yours look and sound good? satisfied/dissatisfied? any advice is appreciated...

I had a JL Audio stealth box with a 10W3V2D2 and I loved it. Not only was it clean bass but it was so tight. It wasnt overbearing it just really complemented the system. I had to sell it to generate money for my new motor. I miss my sub. Ive heard the MTX one in another camaro and not only was mine louder but it was cleaner. JLs loaded enclosure use hand laid fiberglass which really helps with the overall sound and build quality. While the MTX was made out of plastic which flexes alot and causes distortion waves. I have no experience with the any other prefab boxes. But nothing beats the sound of fiberglass.

I've got a JL Audio 12W6 in a 12" stealthbox.
Only putting 250 watts to it (JL Audio 250/1 amp) but it sounds awesome.
Everything else in my system is stock, and the sub compliments it very well.

Got pics of that 12" stealthbox and did you make it yourself?

My stealthbox was made by BJ Nolen... he made a bunch of them a couple years ago, but has since stopped making them. I think subthump.com still makes them, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, here's a pic:

Subthump only makes a 10" version of the driver's side stealth. But they make a passenger side version that fits a 10" or 12". I have only personally heard one stealth. It was the 10" JL stealth. It only had a W0 powered with like 200WRMS, but it was VERY nice. I was impressed for what it was.

JL Audio makes two stealth boxes a loaded and unloaded. The loaded comes with a fiberglass enclosed W3 rated at 300 watts rms. The other is a empty enclosure that is molded out of plastic. JL has never made a stealth box for the 4 gen fbody with a W0. Also the RMS rating of a W0 is 125 watts.

Ok... so what's your point? So he bought the unloaded and just put a W0 in it. And I don't know exactly how much power he was running to it. That's why I said "like".

I made my own 12" driver's side box... sounds great! Granted, I think I need a smaller amp for it though (800W )...
