New Battery help!

New Battery help! My 02 T/A has the AC Delco Battery and its crapped out i hate it!!! i live in the chicago land area.......the car is very close to stock....sort of.. 
and want a new battery.......what kind should i get....how long will it last...it hasta be able to stand almost all season weather......I have the Monsoon w/ 12 disc CD Changer if you need to kno that also
I read about optima yellow tops...and red tops......and hawker and whatever....and want to kno what kind of battery you all think is best.....and with a decent price....under like 150 im hoping....thanx for the help

Id look into a Optima Red top its what im running in my camaro. There are a couple different sizes im not sure which is the best fbodies. My battery was relocated to the trunk so size wasnt really an issue.

First off, the monsoon system used to be rated at 300Watts, I believe, then they up'ed the rating to 500Watts but didn't change a thing. 
Regardless, the monsoon system is no where near either of those ratings. Even with the Monsoon system and three aftermarket alarms, a regular ol' battery will do fine. Alarms don't draw d!ck.

I re-read your post, and I am not sure how Optima's fare in cold weather, and burrr, it gets really cold in Chicago. I hope I don't get flamed for this, but you might want to try a cold weather Die-Hard from Sears. I believe they come with a life time warranty and if you have a problem again... well... there is always a Sears around.

aight FIREBIRDDUDE....no need to be bashin or nuttin man....i read somewhere 1000 aight just chill...no need to get all gay bout it or anything...and mayb some alarms aint drawig **** but the way this one has been it sure as hell seems too....the cars been in a heated garage...so i kno it aint cold....i start it erryday....and the alarm runs alot......cuz round where i am guys get there **** jacked outa garages all the time.....mah fren got his Z28 stolen outa his own garage...so i have mah alarm run constantly.....and theres about 4 lights flashing inside mah car when the alarm is fully armed...and so far......ive jumped the car 3 times......and recharged the battery (didnt seem to work).....now you tell me what the f*ck s up...when the battery light is Green
