Any difference between the old (black) thunderform and new (silver)???

Any difference between the old (black) thunderform and new (silver)???

I've got 2 thunderforms, one seems to be an older one with a black MTX sub in it. Then I've got a newer one with the silver sub in it. Are there any differences between the two, or are they pretty much the same?

Unfortunately both are equally not very good. The silver one is the newer 4500 series which is MTX's bottom of the barrel sub. That has since been replaced as well. The newer 4500 series has some tribal graphics on the face and they dressed up the magnet with some plastic but it is still a cheap sub.
The good news is that the enclosure is pretty good. You can use the enclosure and just replace the sub with very good results.

That really depends on the budget your working with. There are many good subs out there that vary in performance and price.
I have some good subs starting out in the $89.00 range and go all the way up to $349.99.
