Quick HID question
Quick HID question I will be buying the Lamps and the HID kits to install in my TA, however i have one question. on the DMM Tuning website, there is an option for an "H1/H7 to 9006" adapter cable. Do i need this? will this help to better plug and play into the existing wiring harness? i know i need the 9006 kit but our existing housings are H7 connectors. So would this adapter work for me?
i might be answering my own question, but i would think i DO need the adapter..

looks like it would plug from the original plug in on the TAs, right into the 9006 bulb you place into the Lamp... am i right?

You can plug the leads/prongs provided with the LMC enclosures directly into the female plug that goes directly on to the prongs sticking out of the stock enclosures. This isn't very weather proof though. So just bite the bullet and buy $2 worth of weatherproof bullet connectors or heat shrinkable butt connectors. The crimping/wiring was one of the easiest parts of the task. I know it's nice to have everything just plug right in maintain "stock" connectors but this is really pretty trivial.

Well, what they don't show you in the LMC picture is the short cord they provide, which is almost exactly the same as the little pigtail cord you linked (mod-express) earlier with skinnier prongs.
The weathersealed oval thing that LMC provides goes right into the DMM provided harness. Snip off the two LMC prongs and the GM female plug, strip, crimp, done. If I recall correctly, the wire colors even matched up exactly, for both high and low beams (LMC to car).
And yes, I did this on a 2000 TA with the DMM HID 9006 slim ballast kit (lows), LMC enclosures (high and low) so it should work out exactly the same for you. You don't need the upgraded harness from LMC, 35W rating is fine.
