alarm problem

alarm problem 97 z28 A4 with remote entry. I can't hardly get in my car w/o the alram going off. It doesn't matter if i use the key or the remote to unlock it. the alarm shock module by the spare was loose and falling apart so I just removed it but the problem still persists. I'm not sure what caused it to start happening, I was getting in it one day and it started now it does it every time I unlock the doors and get in. I also noticed if the car is off and I open the glove compartment the alarm will go off then also. Any ideas that may help me would be great! even directions on how to disable the alarm all together would be fine. Thanks

in most alarms just find the button under the dash.
if it a switch ...flip it off
if it a button turn the key to on postion ( dont turn over) and off and then hold button.. the led should change to off mode and alarm will be turned off

Factory alarms don't have such a switch. However, it sounds like this car may have an aftermarket alarm in addition to the factory one because there is no way opening the glove box could trigger the factory alarm with the shock sensor unplugged.

idk about an after market alarm. The only aftermarket part I know of is the cd player but the owner before me may have had one installed. I was thinking the TDR or the BCM may be faulty because they are both behind that side of the dash? Idk if that makes sense but it's very aggravating! I appreciate your replies
