Very, very interesting! I'd like to work out a nice mount, maybe vinyl cover the dash pad with some sort of contoured mount. Trying to make it appear more factory. Really like the price point.

I like it; I think it would be great for night driving.
I'm not sure how useful/annoying it would be in the daytime though.
$180 isn't a bad price for what it is.

My brother just bought one of these and I helped him get it put up on his dash where he wants it and hide the wires this past weekend. Install was super easy and quick, popped off his A-pillar (Ford Edge) and ran the wire down behind the dash to the OBD2 connection. Zip-tied the wires out of the way and it was done, maybe 10-15 minutes total.

I have to say that after seeing this in person, the visibility is GREAT, even without the piece of tint on the window. After we got done the sun was beginning to set, and even in the case of extremely direct sunlight it was very easy to see. The only (very minor) complaint was the slight "double" image caused by the inner/outer edge of the glass refraction. I have a pretty good suspicion that will go away once the tint piece is installed appropriately.

I definitely plan to pick up one of these soon.

How bright is this thing on the OUTSIDE of the car, especially at night ?

I wouldn't want to attract any "unwanted attention", if you know what I mean ?

Fairly bright, I guess. I mean you can definitely tell that something is there, but you can't see any kind of reflection in the glass. I can't really see how this would attract "unwanted attention" unless you were already doing something to attract attention.

I would really consider this a non-issue for most people. I'll be sure to let you guys know if my brother gets pulled over for it though, but I'd be willing to bet that will never happen.
