The new DVC versions are in testing phase right now. The prototypes are done and CDT is testing them as we speak but they have not given me a definite date of release yet. I am chomping at the bit to get these as there will probably be 2 just like the SVC versions and the HD one will have push in terminals making installation even easier.

Aw man. Do I cave and get the subs you have on your site now or wait for this new one in the works? I just finished installing an aftermaket HU and my system has become a different system (in a good way). SVC and DVC don't matter to me. I don't need all possible power out of a sub as long as it will play lower frequencies and be clean. I don't need anything that will shake my car apart or be able to jump start my heart again if it should stop beating. I'm ready to finish my audio project, 6.5" subs is the last part of it.

I have just what you need. They will be the same type of sub just in a DVC version so if you don't need DVC then go with the SVC and I am confident you will be happy.
What is your new setup consisting of?

HU: Kenwood KDC-X994
Front: Focal Components (can't remember exactly what model)
Sail: Focal Co-axials (going to replace with subs)
Rear/Hatch: Disconnected from system
Amp: JL Audio 300/4, used to power my fronts and sails (will use to power subs)

My amp will run any load between 1 to 4 ohms. If I remember right, it sends about 75W to each speaker. I just want something I can plug n' play. The mids on my components are awesome but I want to hear the lower frequencies. I don't want anything crazy, however I don't want it to be a joke either.

These will fit the bill for that application for sure. CDT actually has a component set with these now so you would essentially be doing the same thing. CDT worked to get the low end out of these and the HD-6MSUB so that you could get low end bass response out of a 6.5".
