Default HUMOUNT lights pulsating

Recently finished my stereo upgrade complete with a HUMOUNT kit. Everything is great except that the lighted "Trans Am" lights pulsate specially with heavy bass songs. No other lights pulsate. Grounds are okay. Why does it do it? I kinda dig it though since the lights seem to dance with the music and its not super severe but still it makes me wonder. Any thoughts?

Are you using the regular bulbs or LEDs?

the voltage might be dropping below the level for constant output from the LEDs. Can you play a constant bass track and measure the voltage for the lights (or measure the voltage in real time, if you have the hardware) ? Compare that to the voltage numbers for the lights. Might want to go to different LEDs

where do you have them wired to? I wired mine in with the lighting for the radio and they don't pulse.

I wired mine with the accessory red cable from the radio's harness as per instructions so they will light up as soon as the radio is on. Funny thing is that last night I went to check it again and the pulsating effect seems to be barely noticeable in a darker environment, if there is significant environmental light it is more easily seen. Mine are LEDs too, BTW.

I just went out and messed around with mine - I put a few songs on that hit pretty hard bass-wise, and no dimming.

Details:

Alpine 10" Type R being fed with 500 watts
HUMount - originally used the incandescent bulbs, but I converted it to LEDs using individual LEDs
Light power - comes from the driver's side fuse panel switched accessory slot (so it is on when the key is ON)

This was done running the stereo on my battery alone (car not running).
