Default Cdt cl-6a.2-25 pro

Has anyone used the speakers? I did a little google search on the CL-6A and people have liked them. These come with the upgraded 1" TW-25PRO silk tweeters. I figure anything is better then the cheepo speakers that are in there now. I will be powering them through my Kenwood amp thats 150watt rms x2.

They are similar to the current CL-61. The CL-61a are a 2006 model so they are 5 years old but still good. The new CL-61 has an updated crossover and a bit better driver with different voice coil.

Thanks Kee, I will see how I like these. If I want something else I will contact you and put these in my cruise around car.

One more thing if you get this. I was also looking around for bass, I was first thinking about going with a single 10/stealthbox setup but also saw the CDT 6.5 subs that was posted awhil ago. I was wondering what would be better. Im not looking that crazy amount of bass that shakes all my mirrors and make the hatch and license plate rattle (cant stand it when I hear that crap).

If your looking for solid bass response then a small amp on a set of those would be very good. A stealth set up will provide more bass overall but if your just looking to add a moderate amount then you would be good with the new CDT M subs. They are more geared toward good bass response and sound quality over SPL type booming bass.
I would add a sound deadening speaker kit though to enhance the output of the bass in the sails. This will help get better output and kill the rattles the plastic might produce from the added bass.

I finished the install earlier today and all I have to say is wow! nice crisp sound now all I need is some bass. Im powering them through my kenwood KAC-7202 which state 150x2 @ 2ohms. One thing Im confused about is the amp settings, no idea were to set them. Theres bass boost level 0-18db, HPF freq 50-200hz, LPF freq 50-200hz, Filter (HPF-OFF-LPF), Stereo-Mono switch, and Input Sensitivity 5-0.2.

One more thing on the crossovers there is a switch that says +3,0,-3. what does this do?

The settings you are refering to are hi pass filter or HPF (deletes the low end to a set frequency range), Off (full range sound with no filter), Low pass filter or LPF (deletes the high end frequency to a selected frequency range. For your set up you should be able to run at off. This allows the crossover to set the frequency range the speakers see and filter out what they do not need. Another way to do it is to engage the HPF and then adjust the frequency setting until you hear some midbass.
The -3, 0, and +3 settings on the crossovers are for the tweeter output and you can select how much output they have by using this. I personally just set them at the highest setting and then make my adjustment on the head unit to adjust how much high frequency is in the signal.
