Default Question about Steering Controls.

Up until recently I didn't know the controls on the steering wheel were originally illuminated. If I ever want to fix this is, is it better for me to try to find two controls to swap out or try to take them apart and fix the bulbs?

I don't have any problems with the controls other than the fact they're not illuminated anymore. It's not that big of a deal, but it would be cool to have them lit up.

The bulbs are soldered into the circuit board inside the control. You can take them out if you have a soldering iron but it might be easier to just find some with good bulbs

Check the fuse first. There are two 1-amp fuses labeled STG WHL CNTRL in the dash fuse panel. Fuse #3 is for the switch function and fuse #13 is for the switch illumination.

I did not know there were separate fuses, I will check that.
