Default Pyton 1401 install help

So I have a Python 1401 alarm and an Xpresskit bypass module PLJX. While I am no stranger to soldering wires or disassembling the vehicle, I've never installed a kit like this before.

Directions are of course nonexistent online and I have no interest in paying an installer 200$ to do this.

So my questions (thank you in advance for any help)

How does the bypass module relate to the actual Python controller?

Is this a case of Python harness -> module -> existing wiring?
Or should they both by tapped into the existing vehicle wiring?

Best spots to mount all these boxes (with an eye toward troubleshooting)?
I'm sure I have more questions as I look at it, so if anyone has a good basic install guide for this type of device I'd be very grateful.

Thanks,
-JB

Cool. I was looking at the manual, I'm presuming I have the VATS passlock 2 version (2002 firebird). I've pretty much concluded that I should tackle this one step at a time.

First the Bypass module, then the remote system itself. Any other tips for one of these installs or mistakes to avoid?

I would install the remote start system first. then test it with your key in the ignition. If this works you know your install is good and then install the bypass.
