Engine to Chassis Ground

Ok, I was under my car today looking around and couldn't find it. Where is it located approximately? I am trying to do this before I finish the exhaust.

Are you talking about the ground strap located behind the alternator?

If that is where the engine to chassis ground is, then sure. I am trying to do the big 3.

Just add a new one and leave the stock one alone.

I cant even get to my braided strap on my 87 TA...its way to tight. Where would I add another one as you suggested.( where on the engine?)

Use an alternator (or alternator bracket) bolt and go to whatever sturdy point on the frame/chassis is easiest. Make sure to clean both surfaces of any corrosion, grease, paint, etc. You can spray paint or battery terminal protector or whatever on the connections after it's all bolted up to help keep corrosion out.

Optional: You can use a ground terminal like the Streetwires GT10 on the chassis side... or you can just use a big ring terminal and sheet metal screw... or you can use a preexisting bolt. Just, again, make sure to clean the surfaces.
