Does it work from the radio controls or just not the steering wheel controls? Do the steering wheel controls work the radio OK?

When you are in CD changer mode, the buttons on the radio also control the changer. (Not every car has steering wheel controls.) Its all in the owners manual.

The scan button skips forward/back. The 4 button changes CDs, and the 5 and 6 buttons fast forward and reverse. You'll see the function written at the bottom of the buttons.

Try those.

The CD/AUX button switches between sources (it's labeled CD/PLAY in Firebirds).

How long have you had this car? Did you get an owners manual?

Cool - sounds like something is hosed, then. If the buttons on the radio don't work, your steering controls are fine. Its either something in the head unit or between it and the changer. (Of the changer itself.)

Mine would stop working sometimes, I just unplug the power wire from the back of the cd changer in the trunk for a few seconds then plug it back in, works most of the time. Not sure why it does this though!

Mine had to be "repaired" twice under warranty. The last time they actually replaced it with a Pioneer changer(actually labelled Pioneer, I know the Factory used Pioneer). And it failed again so now I've installed a PAC/iSimple PXDX with the PXHGM1 and I use My Motorola Atrix to play Pandora Radio, iHeartRadio, and TuneIn Radio.
