Default Factory alarm problems

99 SS with factory security system. When I lock it within 5 seconds of me doing so the alarm activates. Any help would be much appreciated.

A search would have shown that this is a fairly common problem where the shock sensor gets moisture in it and fails. Just unplugging the shock sensor should eliminate the false alarms and then you can decide if you want to buy a new one or not.
