Would the jl sub be a direct fit in an old mtx dr. side box?

Just received mine today, looks like a real nice piece!

IMO the build quality is superior to my old Subthump box. It also fits in my car better.

I test fit my Infinity Kappa Perfect 10 and it fits. Planning to change out to a Massive Audio TW-10, so I'll have to see if that fits. The Infinity is a pretty large sub though.

Got mine today thanks Dennis. I can say that that the 10W3 is a solid choice in there. I think I did enough hearing damage for one day!

Thanks for the comments and for your business!

I am glad to see you think our box is superior to your old box. These all have dado cut joints as well and are completely sealed and professionally made.

The dado cut joints allow for a better seal and in return you see the end results

Thanks again for your business and taking a second to post your comments

I guess you just cut out the plastic area. How does this mount in there with the Antenna stuff?

Yes cut the plastic and the antenna isn't the issue it's the spare tire and jack that have to come out.

http://shop.doubledmods.com/Preloade...lthMASV104.htm Thinking about getting this one. Would it hit decent and is it a decent sub? Which would be better 4ohm or 2 for a 99 trans am. Only want the one sub and Ill be done with my audio.

I like this sub better than the Massive one myself. Sounds better to my old ears

I would go Arc myself
The Kenwood one is not bad. I just have not messed with to many to give you the honest feedback. I installed one the other day in a C5 and it sounded nice.
The Kenwood I would do over the Massive I will say
